Since 1996, CRP Technology has been the first company pioneering additive manufacturing in Europe – and is the inventor, developer, and exclusive manufacturer of the proprietary Windform® family of high-performance composite materials.
The Windform® range offers a wide portfolio of formulations for Selective Laser Sintering – carbon fiber reinforced, glass fiber reinforced, flame retardant, and advanced elastomers. Multiple grades have passed outgassing tests according to NASA and ESA standards (ASTM E-595-07, ECSS-Q-ST-70-02C) for the most extreme functional applications.
Based in Modena, CRP Technology operates cutting-edge SLS 3D printers and a complete in-house finishing department – including vapor smoothing – delivering personalised manufacturability: from functional prototypes to end-use parts with near-injection-moulded surface quality.
CRP Technology’s offer is built on deep engineering excellence: a team of experienced engineers with proven knowledge in manufacturability, materials, and testing – forged through decades of partnership with market leaders in motorsport, aerospace, defense, automotive, medical, and UAV. Among the milestones: the AlbaPod, the flight-proven PocketQube deployer by Alba Orbital, recognized by ESA. High-Precision Metal Manufacturing
Where CRP Group’s story began. Founded in 1970 by Roberto Cevolini, CRP Meccanica has been delivering high-precision CNC machining across three generations – combining traditional craftsmanship with state-of-the-art technology.
Based in Modena, in the heart of Italy’s Motor Valley, the company operates an advanced CAD-CAM department, 5-axis CNC milling centers, CNC turning with live tooling, and EDM capabilities – processing superalloys (Inconel 625, 718), titanium alloys (Ti-6Al-4V), 17-4 PH stainless steel, aluminum, magnesium, copper, and Metal Matrix Composites.
Beyond machining from solid, CRP Meccanica delivers DMLS with CNC finishing for complex internal geometries and topology-optimized parts, and Rapid Sand Casting with CNC finishing – a technology pioneered for Formula 1 titanium gearboxes and uprights – for larger metal components without permanent tooling.
A distinctive role within the Group: CRP Meccanica also performs precision CNC post-processing on Windform® parts produced by CRP Technology, CRP USA, and CRP Gulf – delivering the dimensional accuracy that mission-critical applications in motorsport, aerospace, defense, robotics, and marine demand.
Certified EN 9100:2018 and ISO 9001:2015, with in-house heat treatment, surface finishing, dimensional inspection (3D scanning, CMM), and full traceability.

Founded in 2008 and based in Mooresville, North Carolina – at the heart of America’s racing industry – CRP USA is an affiliate company (51% ITT) and the Group’s near-customer hub for professional SLS 3D printing in Windform® composites across the Americas.
CRP USA is AS9100D certified and its additive manufacturing processes are compliant with NASA-STD-6030 requirements for spaceflight systems.
CRP USA has played a pioneering role in bringing Windform® materials into the U.S. aerospace and space industry – building considerable experience that has been instrumental in expanding the Group’s presence in these sectors.
CRP USA manufactured the TuPOD – the first complete 3D printed satellite deployer launched from the ISS – and continues to supply cutting-edge solutions to aerospace, defense, motorsport, and automotive clients across North America.
Local production means rapid response and reduced time-to-market for North American clients, backed by the full engineering and material science expertise of the CRP Group.
