CRP Meccanica obtains NCAGE code and SAM.gov Unique Entity ID

June 5, 2026

With these two institutional identifiers, the Modena-based precision manufacturer becomes formally identifiable and verifiable to US Prime Contractors and NATO procurement agencies evaluating qualified Tier 2/Tier 3 partners.

NCAGE Code & SAM.gov UEI for NATO Defense

CRP Meccanica has been assigned NATO Commercial and Government Entity (NCAGE) code AX940 by the Italian Ministry of Defense (SIAC - Sistema Informativo per l’Amministrazione della Codifica) and has obtained SAM.gov Unique Entity ID (UEI) LXSQZJZFL843. The two identifiers position the company within the NATO Codification System and make it identifiable in the US federal procurement ecosystem.

This is a significant milestone in CRP Meccanica’s expansion into the US market as a defense systems manufacturer. It validates the company’s capabilities to operate within the NATO defense industry as a Tier 2 or Tier 3 supplier to US Prime Contractors and Tier 1 companies, in defense, aerospace and UxV (unmanned/autonomous systems) programs.

“For an Italian manufacturer, these identifiers are the formal language of the NATO and US defense supply chains. They make CRP Meccanica recognizable and verifiable to the partners we want to work with, and they confirm that the standards we already apply in motorsport and aerospace meet the requirements of that environment. It is a structural step in our international strategy, as a part of our long-term vision.”
Franco Cevolini, CEO, CRP Meccanica

What the NCAGE code is

The NCAGE (NATO Commercial and Government Entity) code is the unique identifier assigned to a company within the NATO Codification System (NCS), administered for non-US entities through the NATO Support and Procurement Agency (NSPA). For Italy, NCAGE codes are assigned by the Italian Codification Bureau, under the Ministry of Defense.  The NAGE code  is the standard entry credential for any non-US company that wants to be recognized as a supplier or subcontractor within NATO and allied defense supply chains. In CRP Meccanica’s record the company is classified as Organization Type E - Manufacturer.

What the UEI is

The UEI (Unique Entity ID) is the identifier code issued through SAM.gov, the US federal System for Award Management. Obtaining the UEI makes CRP Meccanica identifiable and verifiable in the US federal contract award system, by partnering Prime Contractors and their Tier 1 suppliers during qualification and onboarding processes.

Why it matters for our partners

For procurement and supply chain teams, NCAGE and UEI are the baseline identifiers required to vet and onboard an international supplier partner. Having them in place simplies the process through which CRP Meccanica can be located, verified and referenced in supplier portals and qualification workflows. The two codes confirm the company’s qualification as a NATO-interoperable manufacturer - they are necessary conditions of qualification in choosing an international manufacuring partner.

Built on certified manufacturing capability

CRP Meccanica’s acquisition of these identifiers builds on its established manufacturing track record. The company is certified to EN 9100:2018 and ISO 9001:2015, the quality management standards for the aerospace and defense sectors, and brings over 55 years of high-precision CNC machining experience. CRP Meccanica manufactures flight-critical components in aerospace-grade alloys - titanium, Inconel, stainless steel, aluminum and Metal Matrix Composites - through CNC machining, DMLS metal additive manufacturing and CNC-finished casting, with full material traceability for aerospace, defense and UxV applications.
