CRP Meccanica expands its machine shop with two new Hermle C400 U HS Flex Gen2 centres

June 29, 2026

A 9-pallet automation system, over 215 tools per machine, and round-the-clock multi-batch production capacity: an investment that broadens operational capability on geometrically complex components.

Hermle C400 5-Axis Machining Centres

CRP Meccanica has added two Hermle C400 U HS Flex Gen2 5-axis machining centres to its CNC milling department, each equipped with a 9-pallet automation system and a tool magazine of over 215 tools per machine.

The new units join an existing machine shop that includes DMG Mori, GF Machining Solutions, and C.B.Ferrari vertical and horizontal machining centres, extending the facility's ability to handle simultaneous multi-batch operations without interrupting production flow.

The C400 U HS in the Flex Gen2 configuration delivers high cutting speeds, tight dimensional accuracy, and high pallet capacity, maintaining the repeatability and surface finish quality required in aerospace, motorsport, industrial, and robotics applications.

The 9-pallet configuration enables extended machining sequences with minimal setup time, supporting unmanned operation across multiple consecutive shifts. The on-board tool magazine - over 215 tools per machine - allows uninterrupted multi-batch cycles across different component families without manual intervention between operations.

The investment integrates with existing CNC lines and the complementary processes already in place, reinforcing a production model focused on reducing intermediate steps and optimising the full machining cycle.

"The introduction of these two new Hermle machines is a concrete step towards advanced automation and higher production efficiency. It is not just about increasing capacity - it is about delivering faster lead times, greater continuity, and consistent quality control to our customers, even on the most demanding components." - Franco Cevolini, CEO & CTO, CRP Group

With this latest addition, CRP Meccanica further strengthens its position as a precision manufacturing partner, equipped to meet technically demanding requirements with reliable lead times and fully controlled CNC processes across the full range of high-precision machining operations.
