Advanced Manufacturing Solutions for High-Performance Medical Applications

Engineered Around the Patient: From Concept to Certified Part

Medical devices, orthoses, and protective equipment demand an exceptional level of precision, biocompatibility, and patient-specific customization.

CRP Group combines professional SLS 3D printing in Windform® composites with high-precision metal manufacturing capabilities, supporting medical device companies, orthopedic professionals, and research institutions with components that are engineered around the patient – from initial concept through to fully functional, wearable, and certified parts.

Prosthetic Innovations

CRP Group’s advancements in composite engineering are redefining orthopedic care. Over the years, CRP has established collaborations with leading orthopedic institutes and generative design studios for clinical studies and real-world patient applications – developing custom AFOs in glass fiber reinforced composite with thicknesses calibrated to each patient’s weight, anatomy, and functional deficit.
The results: devices that support the foot without restricting natural movement, outperform traditional orthoses, and fit inside everyday footwear.

Turnkey Personal Service

CRP Group’s complete 3D printing capability allows medical parts to be totally tailor-made, fully finished, and immediately wearable – built from the patient’s 3D scan as a single piece, thin enough to be hidden under clothing. Patients benefit from parts that are waterproof and skin-proof for daily use and maximum comfort.
The same platform extends to protective equipment for healthcare settings: CRP has produced CE-certified visor frames that passed all EN 166 tests, performing identically to injection-moulded production parts – in a fraction of the time and cost.

Precision Metal Components for Medical and Surgical Applications

CRP Group’s metal manufacturing capabilities – 5-axis CNC machining and DMLS with CNC finishing – extend naturally to the medical sector. Titanium alloys, stainless steels, and high-performance aluminum are already core materials in CRP Meccanica’s portfolio, widely used across aerospace and defense for their biocompatible properties, corrosion resistance, and dimensional precision – the same requirements that define surgical instruments, device housings, and implant-grade structural components. CRP Group’s engineering team is available to evaluate your medical metal application.
