On November the 30th Emanuele Grotti (Assistant Production Manager) will flight to Munich to illustrate the paper “Windform 3Dprinting technology customizes the automotive world”

Automotive Surfaces 2016 will look at the automotive interior and electronics landscape, showcasing interior feature enhancements and exploring smart surfaces, providing delegates with the opportunity to learn about the latest materials, technology and manufacturing techniques.

On November the 30th Emanuele Grotti (Assistant Production Manager at CRP Technology) will illustrate the paper “Windform 3Dprinting technology customizes the automotive world”. It will help delegates to understand how it is possible to customize several parts of automotive vehicles using Additive Manufacturing and Windform family of high-performance composite materials.

Specifically the paper describes how designers have processed and developed customized versions of Energica headlight masks. The procedure saw designers focus on the aesthetic and visual impact thanks to 3D Printing technology and Windform materials provided by CRP Technology’s Rapid Prototyping Department.

Smart surfaces are being developed rapidly to reflect consumer need for functionality, style and feel. CRP Technology will demonstrate the effectiveness of additive manufacturing and use of Windform as a structural material for interior feature enhancements and smart surfaces. Additive Manufacturing and Windform SLS composite materials allow freedom of form and creation of highly complex masks with a strong aesthetic impact.

CRP Technology works alongside key industry leaders to manufacture functional prototype and end-use components from their Windform family of high-performance composite materials.

Windform 3D Printing materials, which were originally developed for the motorsports industry, are now finding a diverse range of uses outside of the race track.
