Additive manufacturing and Windform materials for the orthosis of new generation

CRP Group and Mhox look forward to its development connecting generative design sensibilities and 3d printing technologies, targeting different clinical applications and emerging opportunities. The company CRP together with the partner Mhox have built a 3d-printed orthosis, after scanning the limb of the patient. The medical device is made of Windform GT, the reinforced laser sintering material of CRP Technology. The orthosis has been generated by the use of the software Collagene and additive manufacturing.

Thanks to this methodology it is possible to create tailor-made orthosis according to patient’s need in short time and easily.
